Got introduced to a communal shower at the Y in Kindergarten in two different instances. The first was my parents would work out at the Y and they would drop me off to the daycare portion of the Y. When I had to use the bathroom, I’d use the locker room bathroom and remember seeing naked adults and communal showers multiple times.

I thought it would be interesting to share my communal shower experiences as I have enjoyed reading the experience of others. My experience is, I think, not too unusual for someone of my age in my late 20s. My young memories are, of course, pretty hazy.

Its so bad now that sometimes you have guys who want to communal shower and cant. We had a High school senior last year posting that he was on a diving team and wanted to communal shower but the shower facilities were closed and he was prevented from ever using them. Many schools dont even have the facilities, having removed or converted them.
